A curious journalist was in a for a harsh surprise when he insisted on knowing why the head coach of Zalgiris Kaunas let his star player Augusto Lima miss the semi-finals for the birth of his first child. The reply he got made him instantly regret that he asked the question.
Basketball team Zalgiris Kaunas was in the semi finals, when Augusto Lima, its star center was expecting the arrival of his first child. What did he do? He asked his coach for the permission and left for home to celebrate the birth of his first child, a daughter, whom he has named Alba.
The team went on to win and is 2-1 in the series, clearly establishing their dominance, but a journalist wasn't happy that coach Sarunas Jasikevicius let his player take a break and go home. He questioned the coach during the press conference and the reply is epic as well as heart warming. Check out the video below to know how the "one tight slap" happened.
A child's birth is magical and it is amazing to see that this man understands that and has his priorities in place. Hats off to you sir. Later, Lima took to twitter to thank his coach and announce the birth of his daughter, Alba. Here's his tweet.
