Seven students met a horrific fate when the Honda City that they were travelling in fell off a flyover. Four from the accident students are no more. The parents of the dead students said yes when they were approached by an NGO to donate their eyes.

Ritu Singh and Sanchit Chhabra were both killed in an accident when they were travelling to reach their exam centre. The accident happened at around 8:30 in the morning. All the students in the car were appearing for their second-semester exams for BBA course. Both their parents agreed to donate their eyes and showed immense courage in the face of huge personal loss.

Sanchit's father said

“By the time an NGO approached us with request for donation, only the eyes of my son were usable. We agreed to donate his eyes without a second thought. My son was a helpful and friendly boy. Even in his death, he will be helping people.”

Malkhan Singh, Ritu's father had similar words to share

“The NGO has invited me to meet the two persons who will receive Ritu’s eyes. My daughter will live in those two persons forever. I will meet them and stay in touch with them my entire life.”

While their loss is immense what these parents have done for the society is something that will be remembered for a long time to come.
