One day after a BSF jawan posted three videos on facebook putting forth the plight of the soldiers serving the force with respect to the quality of the food that they get, the BSF has now alleged that Tej Badur Yadav, the soldier who made that video was about to be court-martialled for indiscipline and had been a drunkard for all the 20 years that he has been in service.

Yadav, who is from the 29th battalion of the Seema Suraksha Bal, posted a series of videos on facebook which went viral in no time at all.

The video met with a lot of support and therefore it became inevitable for the BSF to react to it. Here is what the top officials of the BSF have now said about this jawan.

‘He (Yadav) has four bad entries in his 20 years of service, hence, wasn't promoted which can be cause of frustration,’ DIG BSF MDS Mann said.

Mann has however also promised that if any of his allegations are found true, strict actions will be taken against those guilty.

The force is however, also considering taking a strict action against Yadav for carrying a mobile phone while on duty as soldiers are strictly prohibited from keeping phones with them while at work.

‘He (Yadav) has indulged in indisciplinary actions in the past too. He was to be court-martialed in 2010 but considering his family he wasn't dismissed,’ said BSF’s IG D. K Upadhyay.

The video has stirred the nation and Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has ordered an enquiry to check in the allegations of the jawan.

On the other hand, Minister of Home for State Kiren Rijiju has also said that he is looking into it and that the safety and well being of the forces in their prime priority.

Although the BSF has called this jawan an alcoholic, if his allegations are true, that could mean the discovery of an internally large hollow in the otherwise strong structure of the BSF.
