Bhagat Singh's Pistol Put On Public Display For The First Time Ever

Bhagat Singh’s iconic pistol was put on public display at BSF’s Reoti firing range in Indore, yesterday. The last shot from it was fired nearly 90 years ago and it killed British officer John Saunders.. Interestingly, initially, people did not realise that the.32 mm Colt automatic was on display. However, once they realised the same they were left spellbound.

Revealing more details about the pistol, assistant commandant Vijendra Singh told a leading daily

"We were surprised when we removed the black paint on the pistol and matched the serial number (168896) with our records last year. It was Bhagat Singh's pistol,” 

Bhagat Singh's Legacy

It must be pointed out here that Bhagat Singh’s bravery had played a pivotal role in inspiring the youth to join the freedom movement. Moreover, even today, he is held in high regard and considered to be a source of inspiration for his countrymen. 

 As such, he is someone who will truly never be forgotten.
