It is no secret, two days ago, Sonu Nigam grabbed attention for all the wrong reasons when he criticised the Azaan call and called it ‘gundagardi’. As expected, he received plenty of flak on Twitter because of his comments. Moreover, a West Bengal-based Muslim cleric issued fatwa against him and said he would give a reward of Rs 10 Lakhs to anyone who could shave the singer’s hair. Here's What The Cleric Said “If anyone can shave his hair, put a garland of old torn shoes around his neck and tour him around the country I personally announce an award of Rs 10 lakh for that person.” Sonu's Response Now, Sonu has responded to the cleric and that too in the boldest way possible. He said that he was ready to shave his hair and asked the cleric to keep the money ‘ready’. In other words, he refused to take the matter seriously. Here are his tweets Today at 2pm Aalim will come to my place, and shave my head. Keep your 10 lakhs ready Maulavi. https://t.co/5jyCmkt3pm— Sonu Nigam (@sonunigam) April 19, 2017 Credit Name : https://twitter.com And Press is welcome to participate at 2pm.— Sonu Nigam (@sonunigam) April 19, 2017 Credit Name : https://twitter.com The Bottomline Well, judging by this response, it seems that Sonu is in no mood to back down from a confrontation or apologise for his remarks. As such, it will be worth watching how things play out in the near future.
